Jewels of Jasper January 13th - February 20th 2017
|
A landscape photography exhibition by Wijk Photography. At this display of photographic prints you will find a selection of my favourite work from the last two years. As the titles suggest – all jewels were found in Jasper National Park. Colour, composition and contrast are my main focus in landscape photography. My favourite time to shoot is early morning. When the world is briefly shown in different light, with colourful clouds and mountain peaks. I combine traditional photography techniques with a modern day approach in the dark room.

Be sure to check out the pottery masks and funky tea pots
of Bryan Hannis from Valemount
About Just Earth Pottery
Just Earth Pottery is the work of one man, Bryan Hannis, who started potting full-time in 1991. Today his functional and art pottery is known throughout central British Columbia for its beauty, durability, and quality of craftsmanship.
“I produce wood and gas fired stoneware and art pottery, and low-fired art pottery at my studio in Valemount, BC. My goal is to produce pots for you to use and enjoy every day while still trying to bring a touch of art into the realm of functional pottery. I hope that my endeavors have been successful and that you enjoy the feel, sight, and above all, the use of my pots”.
